HUSCO International’s $45M expansion and Ford Q1 Award

Austin Ramirez, President & CEO of HUSCO International, made a series of announcements today during a celebration at HUSCOs world headquarters in Waukesha, Wisconsin.  HUSCO will deliver record-breaking financial performance in the first half of 2013 but the truly exciting news relates to what lies ahead of us.  Due in part to stronger engagement with Wisconsins economic development team, HUSCO is embarking on a multi-year $45MM capital expansion project in Wisconsin that is expected to generate over 150 permanent new jobs by 2015.

According to Ramirez, A significant portion of HUSCO revenue growth will take place with Ford Motor Company who today is recognizing HUSCOs Waukesha facility with their top honor for a production supplier the prestigious Q1 certification.  We are thrilled to have this opportunity to celebrate with one of HUSCOs most important customers along with  Governor Scott Walker and the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation .

Over the past three years HUSCO has invested more than $116 million in capital equipment, facilities and product development to create over 500 new jobs globally (approximately half in Wisconsin) and will invest an additional $45 million in 2013.  HUSCO expects to generate over $360 million in global revenue in 2013, a 300% increase over 2009 and 20% higher than 2012.  Substantial growth has been generated by HUSCO Automotive, a subsidiary company that develops fuel-saving, electro-hydraulic components for the automotive market.  HUSCO Automotive manufactures products for many of the new technologies such as variable valve timing, cylinder deactivation, advanced transmissions and oil pump controls that will enable automakers to achieve the challenging miles per gallon standards set by the US EPA, says Todd Zakreski, President of HUSCO Automotive. The components manufactured by HUSCO Automotive in 2013 will save far more fuel than every electric car that is on the road today.

Fords Q1 Award is the highest designation for suppliers by the auto maker.  It recognizes HUSCOs global commitment to best-in-class performance in quality, reliability, delivery, material management, innovation, engineering support and globally competitive cost.  In
order to qualify for the award, HUSCO Automotive was required to undergo a rigorous audit, ensuring that the company met several key automotive quality criteria. The companys performance was also evaluated on a number of other factors, including communication, teamwork and management review. In addition to HUSCO Waukesha facility meeting the stringent automotive industry TS 16949 quality standard, it also maintains ISO 14001 certification which affirms HUSCOs conformance to its Environmental Management Systems and Policies.  HUSCO Automotive facilities in Whitewater, WI and Shanghai, China have already received this prestigious recognition.

Receiving the Ford Q1 certification in Waukesha caps off a successful year that also had HUSCO named a Preferred Aligned Business Framework Supplier for Ford Motor Company, a Top Workplace award by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, and the Wisconsin Manufacturer of the Year Award Winner for Innovation.  On May 23rd HUSCO Automotive received the World Excellence Award from Ford Motor Company.  I am tremendously grateful for HUSCOs exceptional management team and our dedicated associates around the world, says Austin Ramirez. HUSCOs success is a byproduct of the highly talented and dedicated associates that work hard every day to make HUSCO great.  This allows us to compete successfully against large global companies while serving some of the worlds most demanding customers.  Innovation, superior global manufacturing and speed to market are HUSCOs key competitive advantages. There are no tags associeted with this post.
